"Lovely staff, really informative and kind. The hostel Backpackers was clean, comfortable and nice inside and out. Absolutely brilliant location - close to bus stops, Cuba Street, good eateries and has all you could need in the Backpackers. A fully functional kitchen, a lounge where you can chill with your buddies, board games to play, a nice outdoor deck. I also like the fact they had a female only bathroom downstairs. The showers were excellent, too!"

The bedroom I stayed in didn't have a lock that worked on the door, which was a bit concerning. I don't love that.

"A Pleasant Surprise at Palm Garden! We booked Palm Garden without checking any reviews—only afterward did we take a look and feel a bit unsure. My husband even told me not to say anything about the booking, just to see how it was when we got there. But to our surprise, from the moment we arrived, everything was wonderful. At the doorstep, we were greeted by Madu at reception, who welcomed us with the warmest smile—as if we had known her for years! 😊 Our room was spotlessly clean, very spacious, with a large comfortable bed and a lovely balcony overlooking a beautiful view. It was clear that the staff really care about maintaining a high standard."

"The staff were amazing! So friendly, and helpful. There was milk provided for the guests which was a bonus as I always bring tea bags with me, so saved me a walk to the shop. The location was brilliant and the hostel was very clean"

The only issue is that I’ve stayed in similar hostels, but the price was nowhere near as expensive. I know it’s in Zurich, but it’s still a hostel.

"This is a really great hostel. Perfectly located in the historic centre and yet close to restaurants and shops. A warm welcome and helpful staff throughout who all seem to enjoy their roles. They even provided a towel as well as fresh linen for the dormitory beds. Really nice design for the hostel - clean and bright."

"A reggeli tökéletes volt számunkra: felvágott, sajt, vaj, lekvár, joghurt. A péksütemény különösen friss és finom volt. Természetesen kávé és tea, valamilyen juice-ok is voltak."

Talán egy kis szeletelt zölség lehetett volna még (pl. paradicsom, paprika, uborka), de lehet hogy ez itt nem szokásos. :)

Kertem ébresztőt reggelre mivel korán ment a repülőm, szerencsére felébredtem magamtól,mivel ők elfelejtettek költeni.Ezert részemről nem baj, jó hogy felébredtem

"The place was clean and light, though not too busy given the time of year (March). Most impressive was the host who was incredibly welcoming and helpful, offering to help wherever she could. A wonderful addition to my stay in Xingping!"

"Property had a really nice hang out space and the WiFi worked really well and was very fast for our 2 day stay. Staff helped us arrange a local bus to Chipata."

Rooms very very basic and had a mould issue. But other than that was okay. We didn’t have bed bugs in our room, but we met other backpackers in the dorm beds that said they did have them…

"Wonderful staff; onsite restaurant including with a wide choice on menu, reasonably priced if using the unofficial exchange rate. My room was situated by the lake edge and was such a wonderful experience listening just to the waves crushing in the night and awaking to a wonderful sunrise. Truly bliss. Thought powered by solar, my shower was reasonably hot and lighting though dim was constant. I still recommend taking a torch for the sometimes power cuts. Be sure to arrange a boat trip….. you won’t regret it. Eagle bird, cliff jumping and snorkelling. One might even be able to visit the Rastafarian community near by."

Wifi was only available in reception area and to reach room I had to negotiate a steep set of stairs where railings were sometimes missing. Could be potentially dangerous and not recommended if one suffers from knee problems. Whilst orders were excellent the service could be vastly improved. Orders took for ever to arrive and were often cold. Management, if reading, please sort this out!

- would have been great if there were a kettle for guests' use. Needed some hot water to soothe my stomach and had to ask the staff to boil a cup for me.

"Nagyon barátságos a tulajdonos . José a lelke az egész szálláshelyek. Csodás ember! Gyönyörű, tiszta szobák, és mellékhelyiségek . Konyha jól felszerelt, van mosó,és szárítógép is. Jose felajánlotta, hogy kérhetünk reggelit, és vacsorát is. Éltem a lehetőséggel, nem bántam meg. Nagyon finom volt mindkettő. Reggelihez forró ropogós kenyeret kaptunk. Már a 20. napja zarándokok. Ki merem mondani, hogy a SENOR OSO volt a legjobb szálláshely , ahol eddig jártam. Nagyon jót tudtam pihenni. Szívből ajánlom mindenkinek."

My room was very cold. Even though the landlady turned on the heater earlier than she said she would, it still didn't help much.

"A recepciósok szakértelme, segítőkészsége ,nagyon jó fejek, barátságosak voltak, emellett focirajongók is így nagyon jót tudtunk beszélgetni a helyi liga top csapatairól egyaránt. 100%-ban ajánlom mindenkinek ezt a szállást, hiszen közel az Istiklal utca valamint a busz és metró megállók. Egy isztambuli utazáshoz tökéletes választás, biztos vagyok benne a következő látogatásom során is itt fogok megszállni."

Equipment was a bit run down

"We had a wonderful stay. It's a good way to get to know the Uzbek culture, far away from the touristy areas. It's run by a family. Nigina and her girls cooked amazing fresh food every day. Best food we had in whole Uzbekistan especially the Plov, even the guides who stayed there it's one of the best they ever had. Raxmat is an amazing host he helped us with thing from the beginning till the end, with transportation or also with hike tours. The place is good for every type of travellers, there were also some families, solo female travelers etc. For us, we stayed 3 nights, it was nice to disconnect (they have wifi) but we never used it. There is plenty of things to do like hiking etc. We will miss this wonderful place. Thank you again Raxmat and Nigina!"
