"We stayed here to attend a wedding in the Château de Basché. Sonia was a wonderful host and lives in the building just next to the gite; she made sure we had everything we needed, and had thought of the little touches. Sonia had even left us some local produce such as lemonades and shortbread, which was fabulous after a long journey. The gite was bigger than in the photos. Clean, spacious, and bright. It is also silent and peaceful - perfect for an excellent night's sleep. The pool is indoors and shared. We would highly recommend as a remote stay, and excellent value for money."

"The Bees :) place is a hidden gem. Such a romantic and tranquil area, yet easy to find and get to. The hosts are very friendly and are doing this as they enjoy it. Their place as inside so the surrounding gardens are beautiful and well kept. The room we stayed in is their guestroom and offers nice touches, decor and quality items such as the bedding. The bed is large, comfortable and it is super quiet all night long. Just in the morning don't forget to crack open the blinds so you'll be greeted by the sunrise. The bathroom, while "shared" we had all to ourselves and it's plenty spacious and very clean. We enjoyed the nice, quality breakfast which offered us the opportunity to have a chat with the Bees (hosts). We liked the experience so much that we're already planning to stay again when passing by next time. Thank you for such a lovely stay!"

"Maison 1823 is a charming place, as is Isabelle, its owner. Our rooms were spacious and well decorated as seen in the pictures. The French breakfast is both abundant and excellent, especially because of the pastries, house-made jam and cheese. Though we came by car, Isabelle mentioned the service to transport her guests to and from the nearby airport. Of course, since it was February we could not take advantage of the swimming pool, but our stay was otherwise very enjoyable. In my view, it is a perfect place for families."

"Holiday house in a quiet location close to Domme and many other Dordogne destinations. Shutters on windows made bedrooms nice and dark for sleeping. Well equipped kitchen with small central dining table plus larger dining table in adjacent open-plan living area. The bathroom, laundry and toilet were on ground floor, as well as a bedroom with a double bed. A further bedroom with a double bed and a larger bedroom with single beds were upstairs. The upstairs bedrooms became warm during the heat of the day, but the ground floor bedroom remained cool. Only one of the upper bedrooms had a fan. Excellent wi-fi. Welcoming bottle of wine was appreciated. Very nice manager who met us at arrival and departure."
